Right now: a tended log
Seeking True North began as my expedition log — six to eight weeks (and counting) of moving from "using chatbots" to running a full AI harness under God's headship.
If you are reading this in the early seasons, expect:
- First-person voice
- Incomplete entries by design
- Tools named because I actually use them, not because someone sponsored a listicle
- Theology that is not optional fine print
You are welcome to listen in. Nothing here requires you to adopt my entire stack or vocabulary to pick up a single useful pattern.
Where this is going: teaching without performing
The same philosophy that built this garden — tools in hand, faith from and in God alone — is meant to help others bootstrap with AI without making models into lords or fear into fuel.
As entries mature from seed to evergreen, the voice will shift in places:
- More explicit "how to" in the Harness and Path beds
- More naming of anti-patterns in the Compost bed
- Less "here is what I am trying" and more "here is what held up under the dual test"
That shift should feel like a plant growing, not a rebrand. The Foundation Bed does not move.
Who might get the most here
Builders tired of hype who want a real stack annotated with why, not just what.
Faithful skeptics who love what AI can do but refuse to let it sit on God's throne — or on the throne of their anxiety.
People in the crawl phase who need permission to go slow and prune without shame.
People further along who want a calibration language for near-misses — not just hot takes about whether AI is "good or bad."
If you need a neutral, secular productivity garden, this is not that. The soil is explicit.
Who this is not for
- Anyone looking for a map to replace discernment
- Anyone who needs every entry finished before it is useful
- Anyone who wants AI theology without Scripture as final court of appeal
That is not gatekeeping — it is honesty about what is being tended.
Still sprouting
This entry is a seed. The audience will sharpen as the Root and Path beds fill in and as you — readers — tell me what actually served you.
Until then: if the Foundation resonates, enter the garden. If not, no offense taken. True North was never a popularity contest.
